Summary
This project will implement a set of tailored land and water management practices in Upper Chindwin River, Myanmar, to protect and restore the Key Biodiversity Area (KBA) and secure sustainable livelihoods for 11,827 people in nine villages. Biodiversity and ecosystem service assessments will feed into Community Action Plans (CAP), developed alongside local stakeholders to establish sustainable agricultural, mining and water management practices. These includes conservation and restoration zones, enhance community-based natural resource management, and support just transitions.
