To facilitate the conservation of elephants by mitigating HEC in Assam through: 1) capacity building to protect communities from elephants; 2) foestering knowledge and tolerance of elephants, and 3) studying the spatial patterns of elephant herds for land-use strategies and local implementation of the CBD.
